The end of 2020 is now just around the corner, and The end of 2020 is now just around the corner, and we wanted to share a very special thank you to everyone for your contributions, whether big or small. Despite everything this year brought, we have made it through feeling inspired, energized and ready for more! 🙏🏽

To everyone who shared our story, supported our team, ran along with us on our virtual run, dedicated a golf challenge to raising funds, took part in our online art auction, donated money/goods, and generally made us smile, THANK YOU! 💜

We really cannot say it enough: it is because of you that we can keep going strong 💪🏾

To another year of impacting positive change, inspiring hope, and investing in the youth of South Africa! 🇿🇦

What a time the last two months have been: from our #30daysofawareness campaign, to our virtual run, our golf challenge, and now our art auction, it really has been an amazing and inspiring period! 🏆 

We feel deeply blessed to have received incredible support, and to have enjoyed spending extra quality time with our family of beneficiaries throughout 💜

Thank you, again and again and again, to each and every one of our followers, funders, donors, collaborators, friends, family and more!

Zimbabwean Artist Collective 
We are privileged enough to have a selection of unique paintings added to our auction from this amazing collective of artists 🎨

Denise Forbes
Inspired by the people of Kalk Bay Harbour, Denise found herself captivated by the life, colour, and vibrancy of this Cape Town destination atmosphere 🌅

Anastasia Pappas
Having studied fine arts at the University of Witwaterstrand, Anastasia now uses her brand Stich.me art to create customer drawings representative of their memories or life story 🖋

Jo Barnard
With water colour being Jo’s medium of choice, Jo’s work is strongly influenced by her travels to the Far East. Not only capturing the appearance of her subjects, her detailed work captures their spirit and essence of being 🌌

…and so, without further ado, let us introduce today’s feature artists; Larry Kreuiter, Valerie Ettershank, Peter Martin, and Innocent Manjengenja! 🤸🏾‍♀️

Larry Kreuiter
Having carried his passion for photography with him since childhood, Larry’s youth found him walking the stress of Port Elizabeth capturing the scenes on his first ever camera 📸

Valeria Ettershank 
After years of perfecting her craft, Valeria is well known for her depictions of indigenous flowers, wildlife, and birds 🕊

Peter Martin 
At age 92, Peter is a self-taught artist who began experimenting with colours and styles in his early seventies. The pieces he has chosen to showcase for this exhibition are among some of his personal favourites 🖌

Innocent Manjengenja 
Being a stone sculptor whose work is influenced by the ancient Shona heritage of Zimbabwe, Innocent has been working on his craft since boyhood and came into himself as an artist under the tutorage of Gift Muchenje, Arthur Fata, and Garrison Machinjili 🌍

We decided to put together an Online Art Auction as a way to generate funds for our 2021 beneficiaries, support local artists, and bring something fresh and fun for the end of what has been a marathon year 🕊

Your bid not only supports our financial reserves for 2021, but also to our sense of hope, solidarity, and community – each bid really does move a mountain! 💚

…and so, for today’s feature artists, we would like to introduce…

Sally Chalmers
Being self-taught, Sally is a creative soul who experiments with beadwork and encourages economic empowerment through sharing her skills, supervision and guidance while working with The Bead House 🤸🏾‍♀️

Susan Orpen
Having taught a few of our Art Auction representatives, Susan is both a fine artist and fine art tutor, principally known for her wildlife work. She has a passion for landscapes and enjoys the challenge of capturing the suggestive, as opposed to the descriptive 🐆

Tannith E’Silva 
 Tannith began her artistic career in 2015, and describes herself as an artist still within the stages of discovering her style. She enjoys experimenting with different mediums, and has a passion for a variety of artistic genres 🍃

Leonie Brandt
Having worked within design and advertising, Leonie began spending more time compiling her own art after her husband’s death in 2018. She holds African fauna and flora close to her heart, with her travels inspiring her pursue pristine wilderness areas 🦓

Linda Raaff
Linda started painting several years ago under the guidance of Sue Orpen, with her paintings finding their inspiration from her passionate love for the African bushveld 🦏

Rai Sinha
Rai says: “Painting has always been my passion from childhood and, what initially was a hobby, has turned into a passion and exploration of dormant creativity”. Her artistic career began six years ago, moving quickly into exhibitions and art sales 🕊

Robynne Bailey 
Robynne has a love for mixed media, and has worked with various art teachers throughout the years. She has a soft spot for dry point etching and lino printing, with her works having been displayed in various local exhibitions 🖌

Roxy Keeping
Being in her third year of her Fine Art Degree from Stellenbosch, Roxy has explored various mediums of expression, while giving particular focus to photography 📸

For today’s line-up, we would like to introduce you to Ros Brown, Anneka Luyt, and Jill Mainwaring 🤸🏼‍♀️

Ros Brown
Having been raised on a farm in Zimbabwe, Ros feels a deep connection to her African roots and shares her love for African people, landscapes and wildlife through her work. Painting in oil and water colours, Ros is an accountant during the day and a fine artist by night!

Anneka Luyt
Born in Vereeniging and brought up on the West Coast, Anneka found her inspiration doing a fine art photography course. Finding her inspiration through travel, Anneka loves to play with techniques, testing the boundaries of photography through her limited edition prints.

Jill Mainwaring
Jill is both a nurse and fine artist who enjoyed her membership with the Medical Arts Society for 16 years. She believes that nursing instilled her with greater awareness of feelings and details, with these observations bleeding over into her artistic pursuits.

Being a team passionate about education, creativity, and the celebration of South Africa, we are not only bringing you a FULL online art auction (opening for bidding TOMORROW, 20th of November), but our team are also putting together a social media release designed to introduce you to each of the artists representing us! 🎨

We are so looking forward to sharing their inspirational stories with you, and feel deeply blessed to have the opportunity to collaborate with such talented individuals 🤗

Our full art catalogue will be available for viewing on our Facebook page as of Friday the 20th of November, with bidding staying open until Sunday the 29th of November 🎨

Bidding will take place in the comments section of each work, with the highest bidder being contacted directly from The Trust to finalise purchase details 💸
